Work and other adventures

Ada and Wilhelmina checking out the 'product of the month' @ Craft Victoria

The beautiful Handmade Romance 'Travelling Circus' installation
Studio shot By Kim Brockett (Craft Victoria)

Wowsers, the last month or so has been a little crazy, hence the lack of posts. There's so much to tell and so little time. Last weekend I ventured into the city to have a gander at the Craft Victoria window displays. Craft Victoria kindly chose my bird clusters to be product of the month, yes pleeeeeaaaase and thank you very much for asking kind ladies at Craft Vic! I am very chuffed to be sharing the luminous window limelight with the incredibly talented Evie Barrow from Handmade Romance. There's definitely a bit of the old circus theme wafting in the air (e.g little circus design rubbing shoulders with the travelling circus!) Evie's blog has all the lo down about her work process also please check out her interview and studio pics compiled by Craft Victoria. The very sweet Kim Brockett from Craft Vic took about 50 modes of transport to make it out to my home studio to take some pics and meet the guinea pigs. I warned her that my studio is teeny weeny and occupies half the bedroom but somehow she managed to squeeze in a stack of lovely shots. If you have time please visit the Craft Vic Clog blog for my studio images and a mini interview. There's just so much to do and see, oh and if you're on facebook check out the extra studio visit pics by Kim. My city trip also coincided with a visit to a few ANZ banks that are currently displaying Chinese New Year dragons that I illustrated a few weeks back. I think it was my biggest Jacky Winter job to date, very exciting, a trillion tweaks, quite a few grey hairs but muchas rewarding (full props to Miss Fushia at JW and the crew at M&C Saatchi) I have yet to mention the 5.5 metre school mural I designed during the Christmas break (holidays? What holidays?!) I'll get some images happening soon and report back my Friends. I also have a solo show next month and a pile of work waiting for me so I must knuckle down and get some drawings done before baby Ada wakes (she turned 2 just after Chrissy but I can't stop calling her the bubba) Happy Valentines day xo
p.s Happy Birthday mum, I love you!
p.p.s I'll be doing the Melbourne Finders Keepers market in March (yay, I was just notified) I wish I could split myself into 6 to get everything done.
