Market Bliss

The girls and I ventured off to the Prahran Market last Tuesday to visit the animal farm and do a spot of fresh food shopping and catch up with my buddy 'special Jenny' and little Pear. I don't do this often enough, we had an absolute blast! Ada got close and personal with some furry friends, a little freaked at first but a budding naturalist by the end. Wilhelmina befriended a too-placid-for-its-own-good guinea pig and I was a little smitten with the chooks (I have a yearning to get some hens at home) Tuesdays at the Prahran Market is a parents dream come true, the animal farm is conveniently situated in the food court, next to the play equipment and a couple of metres from the markets cafes, completely brilliant. All this for $3.50, you can't beat it! We picked up some yummy tucker for dinner, bought myself some roses (2 decent sized posies for $3.50ea) and was given a live yabbie as a pet from the fish shop man! I guess its fate with the Stamers will be better than a boiling pot of water.

On the way back to the car we stumbled across the bestest ever cafe/kids boutique/parents retreat a.k.a heaven, they even have an indoor play area, not your ordinary manky old toys and secondhand play equipment either, this place is way cool, oozing MASSIVE STYLE. All I can say, if you're in the Prahran area with the kids you must definitely stop by Family Life, regain some sanity and breath a sigh of relief that places like this actually exist and they truly make you and the tribe feel special and dare I say it human. We arrived home feeling pretty damn good after such an awesome day out. Will post more adventures from the week later.
