Mooks Art Space December Winner!
My image 'girl from takadanobaba' was chosen as the winning entry for Mooks Artspace December 2007. The theme was 'girls' so I thought it was appropriate I submitted this piece which was inspired by a trip to Japan in 2005. My husband Karl and I stayed in Takadanobaba with our friend Selina Ou who is an amazing photographer and super cool gal. It's a surreal little city; at the station they use the Astro Boy theme as the train arrives and departs (cool) There are interesting haunts everywhere, flashing lights and colour, quirky sounds buzzing by and an amazing culture that saturates your senses. Selina was a kind and gracious guide who took us everywhere and looked after us!
