My head is spinning with all the exciting things happening lately. One thing I'm super charged about is The Design Files Open House which opens this week!!! An entire vacant Fitzroy residential warehouse has been kitted out with handpicked beauties ranging from the cutest ever bedlinen designed by Rachel Castle to gorgeous organic furniture by Greg Hatton and dreamy handmade soft sculptures by one of my favs Madeleine Sargent! Really truly, the list goes on... you'll find show stopping work by Beci Orpin, Dawn Tan, Sandra Eterovic, Nicholas Jones, Maiike, David Bromley and Kirra Jamison. Lucy kindly invited me to include some limited edition prints which have been all framed in the signature style of Ryan Ward of United Measures, wait till you see the super cute inlaid flouro splines. I'm clearly excited! Best part is everything is for sale, yep, you can shop till you drop knowing that you're doing the right thing supporting local artists and designers with beautiful and unique products who are endeavouring to rid our lives of junky mass produced rubbish. Tell your friends and pop by to enjoy all the lovely things on offer at TDFOH, there's even a rooftop cafe so you can relax and take some time out whilst swooning over your purchases, or as I like to say, happy home investments.
For those of you who can't make it to the actual event there will be a temporary online shop set -up december 5th running to 18th of december, double happiness!
